Public Records & Corrections Policy
How Not Doctored handles public-record information, accuracy corrections, identity mismatches, and records that are no longer lawfully public.
Public-record research
Not Doctored organizes information derived from public records and related public datasets. Our goal is to make public information easier to search and understand without changing what the underlying record establishes.
Neutral presentation
The presence of a person, provider, institution, payment, claim, lawsuit, or other item in a record does not by itself establish negligence, malpractice, liability, misconduct, or wrongdoing.
Corrections and changes
Underlying public records can be corrected, amended, sealed, restricted, or otherwise changed by the agency or court responsible for the record. When we can verify a material change in an underlying public record, we may update the corresponding Not Doctored record.
Request a record review
If you believe a Not Doctored record is inaccurate, identifies the wrong person or entity, reflects information that has been officially changed, or includes information that should not lawfully be displayed, email records@notdoctored.com.
Please include the Not Doctored record URL, the specific information you believe should be reviewed, and any supporting public-record documentation or official source reference that helps us verify the request.
Official sealing or restriction
If an underlying court, agency, or other official source has sealed, restricted, removed, or corrected a record, provide documentation or a verifiable official reference. We may need to confirm the change with the responsible source before modifying our database.
Accurate public records are not removed on request
Not Doctored does not remove, suppress, or hide accurate information that remains lawfully public merely because a person, provider, institution, insurer, or other organization requests removal.
We may correct, annotate, update, or remove information when reliable documentation shows that the information displayed is inaccurate, associated with the wrong person or entity, has been officially amended, or is no longer lawfully public because of a valid sealing order, statutory restriction, confidentiality requirement, or other applicable legal obligation.
Identity verification
For requests involving sensitive information or identity disputes, we may request enough information to reasonably verify the requester and the record at issue. Do not email unnecessary sensitive documents unless we specifically request them.
